Kinesiotaping, or dynamic taping, is a therapeutic method used in physiotherapy, developed by Dr. Kenzo Kase in the 1970s. It involves applying special elastic tapes to selected areas of the body that are similar in thickness to the skin, latex-free, gentle on the skin, and waterproof.

Kinesiotaping – dynamic taping at Rycerska 4 Medical Center

How does kinesiotaping work?

Lifting the skin with the tape increases the space around the muscles and fascia, which:

  • relieves pain and improves circulation,
  • relieves muscle strain and stabilizes joints,
  • supports the protection and function of tendons.

Applications

Kinesiotaping is widely used in sports rehabilitation and physiotherapy. It can help after injuries,
accidents, and surgical procedures, as well as reduce the sensation of stiffness and muscle tension.

  • muscle and joint pain, swelling, bruising,
  • joint stabilization and improvement of muscle function,
  • chest wall deformities, swallowing disorders,
  • foot alignment defects,
  • facial nerve palsy (therapy support).
